We at HOLLYWOOD BROTHERHOOD, beneath the surface and at our core, are the bleeding hearts and artists that wait outside of your walls. When you need us, and when you’re truly ready to take control back from the overbearing masses, we are here. As such, you shouldn’t be surprised to realize that we, at times, have a tendency to be somewhat sentimental (with a bad-ass twist) in relation to our HB brothers and sisters.

Enter our logo, the infamous HB crossed intercontinental ballistic missile keys — our version of promise jewelry for tragic lovers, crashing their deeply-held morals and beliefs against the rocky shores of the outer oppressive world. Cast in solid .925 silver, to the exact size and specifications of real-world military nuclear launch keys, these weapons are not only an unused slice of Cold War history, they are a serious statement to the outside world. When two people put a set of these key pendants around their necks, they are harkening back to anti-hero lovers the likes of Romeo & Juliet, Bonnie & Clyde, JFK & Marilyn, Sid & Nancy, Kurt & Courtney, and Mickey & Mallory, and they are sending out the warning message: “Cross this union only at risk to your own personal safety” for here you have found a bond that is stronger than the fabric that binds our very atoms together, the mysterious quantum entanglement holding 2 together as 1. Call it true love, call it destiny, call it fate, call it Brotherhood, call it what you will, but call it sacred and not for the faint of heart, and certainly call it something not to be fucked with.

Once a symbol of man’s worst destructive potential, now re-appropriated and taken back by The Brotherhood for the artists among us, these nuke keys serve as a new symbol for restraint in the face of total destructive power and man’s one rare example of walking away from savage temptation. With the original keys, it took 2 men and 2 keys to trigger the wartime process that would eventually end this world, and it should not be taken lightly that that check-and-balance concept also prevented WWIII on more than one occasion. The fact that these keys were never actually used operationally is humanity’s shining achievement. While it took 2 brothers working in unison to use the keys and command a launch, it also took a triumph of teamwork to prevent their use… because brotherhood can destroy the world, but it can also save it. In military terms, this safety catch is known as the “two-man rule” and in Brotherhood terms it is known as “The Resistance.”

Now, more than ever, as the world becomes more threatening and the destructive power of technology becomes more prevalent, let’s take this symbol back for the ones that understand both love and power, the tragic characters among us, unwavering in their commitment to the resistance and to each other.
